Elizabeth Gamarra has been appointed as a Young Ambassador representing the United States at the 2025 World Expo in Osaka. (24/04/2025)

Elizabeth was selected through a highly competitive national process and now serves as a cultural envoy at the U.S. Pavilion, actively advancing public diplomacy and international engagement.

The World Expo, held every five years, is one of the most prestigious global events, uniting nations to showcase innovation, cultural heritage, and collaborative responses to the world’s most urgent challenges. The 2025 theme, “Designing a Future Society for Our Lives,” emphasises sustainability, inclusion, and global cooperation.

At the American Pavilion, Gamarra is engaging with diverse international audiences on critical topics including climate change, education, and technology. Her appointment recognizes her long-standing contributions to international relations and reflects the rising leadership of young professionals in shaping global dialogue.

As a member of the Board of Directors of the Global Peacebuilding Association of Japan (GPAJ), Gamarra is especially committed to strengthening U.S.–Japan relations and using this platform to foster cross-cultural understanding and lasting partnerships.
